Hello, I'm looking for information on early "1800's" railroad building equipment or books on the subject of how they built the early railroads. Also interested in finding information on railroad surveying. I have been researching early railroads in the SW Ohio and SE Indiana area and have become curious as to how they actually built these lines without all the equipment we have known and used in the 20th century. Thanks
